Abstract:

The present study documented the laboratory rearing and parasitoid associations of key insect pests in mango and citrus ecosystems. Eggs, nymphs and pupae of target pests were collected and reared under controlled conditions to assess parasitoid emergence and host-parasitoid relationships. A total of 23 parasitoid species, representing eight families, were recorded and their mean emergence per host stage was quantified. Parasitism varied across host stages and species, reflecting host specificity and differing success rates under laboratory conditions. These findings provide baseline information on the biology and rearing potential of parasitoids associated with mango and citrus pests, offering valuable insights for their application in integrated pest management programs.
